The SGSMA 2026 International Conference will soon open its Ph.D. Dissertation Competition Program, which aims to provide an international platform for doctoral researchers working in fields related to synchrophasors and synchronized measurement analytics.

This program will recognize outstanding Ph.D. dissertations and offer selected candidates the opportunity to share their research and technological innovations with leaders from academia, government, and industry.

🎓 Program Overview

Finalists will be invited to present their work during a dedicated poster session at SGSMA 2026. Additional benefits for selected participants—such as travel support, conference registration waivers, or monetary awards—will be announced soon.

📋 Preliminary Eligibility Criteria

Applicants will likely be required to meet the following criteria (to be confirmed):

• Dissertation defended within a specified period (e.g., between May 2024 and December 2025)

• Application submitted by the Ph.D. researcher with an endorsement letter from their dissertation advisor

• Availability to attend SGSMA 2026 in person and present a poster

• Nomination letter from the dissertation advisor

• A 3-page summary: 2-page abstract + 1-page list of contributions/publications

• A copy of the dissertation (if available)
