Registration Guidelines

Read Before Paying

The registration process consists of three sequential steps:

  1. 1Selection of Registration Type

    • All conference attendees must first provide the required personal information. Once complete, select your Registration Type from the available categories.
    • ID Document: You may use any valid government-issued identification document, such as a passport, national ID card, or driver's license.
    • Membership Verification: Upon selecting a category, a field will appear for you to upload your Proof of Membership.
    • Membership Proof Document: Upload any official evidence that shows your name and IEEE/CIGRE membership status (or grade), for example: membership card, account profile screenshot, or membership confirmation email/letter.
    • Exceptions: Non-IEEE/CIGRE members and Companions are exempt from providing membership documentation.
    • Requirement: Ensure the uploaded document corresponds directly to the selected registration category.

  2. 2Payment Process

    • The payment options will be enabled once your membership proof has been successfully uploaded (where applicable).
    • Payment Gateway: Click the Open Payment Link button to be redirected to our secure payment portal. The total amount is automatically calculated based on your registration type.
    • Currency and Exchange Rate: Registration prices are fixed in USD, but all payments are charged via credit card in Chilean Pesos (CLP) on the payment page. The exchange rate for this event is $1 USD = $900 CLP.
    • Bank Charges: Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign exchange conversion charges and/or international transaction fees, so final card charges may differ from the USD reference amount.
    • Confirmation: After a successful transaction, upload your receipt in the Proof of Payment field to finalize your registration.
    • Special Requests: For alternative payment methods requiring specific paperwork, contact sgsma.2026@usach.cl well in advance of registration deadlines, as these requests may require several business days to process.

  3. 3Optional Extras and Paper Association

    • Gala Dinner: Select this option and follow the payment procedure described in Step 2. Upload proof of payment and indicate your dietary preference (No dietary restrictions, Vegetarian, or Vegan). Seating is limited.
    • Technical Tour: Select this option and complete the payment process as outlined in Step 2. Capacity is limited.
    • Detailed Invoice: If you require a detailed invoice for institutional reimbursement, select this option and complete the supplementary form.
    • Paper Association: Full registration types (IEEE/CIGRE Member, IEEE PES/IES/IAS/I&M Member, or Non-IEEE/CIGRE Member) cover technical paper submissions. In these cases, provide the Paper ID and Title. One full registration may be associated with up to two (2) papers.
